As the weather turns colder, it’s time to start thinking about the winter holidays and holiday family fun! It may seem soon (and we’ll certainly be updating all of these articles throughout the next two months), but certain events have already begun registration. Others, including toy drives, will wrap up well before the holidays begin in earnest. So now really is the right time to pick out the items on your list you really want to do!

This guide rounds up tons of holiday family fun, including live theater performances, the best Christmas lights to go see around your neighborhood, so many opportunities to see Santa, live nativities for Christmas, events for Hanukah, volunteer opportunities, and more.

This guide is sponsored by Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana and Language and Music School in Oak Park.

The Language and Music School is offering a festive opportunity for individuals of all ages (3-99) to learn a Christmas song on various instruments like piano, guitar, drums, bass, violin. In addition to music lessons, the school also provides language courses in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese and more.

We also run a K-12th micro-school. Anyone that finds traditional school is not working out for them, should see how a micro school makes a difference in their life. We have ongoing registration so you start anytime!
