New Recommended Disney Books

I was fortunate to receive some new Disney books and we enjoyed many of them, so I thought I would share our favorites with you! I have to say that I am fairly picky about kids books; I don’t like name calling or convoluted story lines without much of a redeeming message and books are automatically rejected if they use the words “hate” or “stupid” so you can be sure that these books do not have any of those qualities. Also, I have read these books with my kids and we all loved reading them. Isn’t it great to read with your kids?! Such a cherished time in our house. :)

Walt Disney’s Classic Storybook (third edition)
Age Range: 3 – 5 years (although I would say older kids would enjoy it as well)
So many of the classic Disney stories are included in this great book with original, vintage illustrations. The pages are silver tipped and it just feels special to read it.

Minnie in Paris
Age Range: 3 – 5 years
This book incorporates counting and culture along with an adventure about Minnie accidentally switching suitcases right before her bow fashion show. She doesn’t give up and manages to get everything in order!

The Minnie & Friends Cookbook
Age Range: 6 – 8 years (but my 4 year old loved it too)
Want to get your kids excited about eating different foods? The recipes in this book do not include off the wall ingredients, but seeing how the presentation interested my daughter was eye opening. Definitely some good ideas in this one.

Fly-and-Drive Read-Along Storybook and CD
Age Range: 6 – 8 years
This hardcover book includes four stories (Cars, Cars 2, Air Mater, and Planes) and a storybook CD with character voices and sound effects! The illustrations in the book are wonderful, not to mention it’s a great value.

Planes: Fire & Rescue Dusty’s Big Job (Board Book)
Planes: Fire & Rescue (ReadAlong Storybook & CD)
Age Range: 3 – 5 years (board book)
Age Range: 6 – 8 years (paperback with storybook and CD)
Dusty the plane wants to be useful, learns new skills and doesn’t give up in this exciting adventure with vivid illustrations.

Marvel Super Adventures: Read-and-Play Storybook
Age Range: 6 – 8 years
I was pleasantly surprised with this super hero book because it wasn’t all about fighting. There were some interesting stories on how the superheroes came to be and my son wanted me to read him one of the stories every night.

Minnie’s Summer Vacation
Age Range: 3 – 5 years (Level Pre-1)
This is a great first reader with all of your favorite classic Disney characters, although can someone tell me what Toodles is?

Doc McStuffins Starry, Starry Night
Age Range: 3 – 5 years (Level 1)
Learn about meteors and the pieces of a telescope in this fun Doc McStuffins early reader.

Spidey’s New Costume
Age Range: 6 – 8 years
Spiderman’s new costume gives him problems as he tries to work for the good in this great Level 3 reader.

Do your kids like stickers?! These two sticker books are sure to delight with over 1,000 stickers each with pages to stick them.
