Virtual VBS, Kits, and In-Person Options for Vacation Bible School 2020

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun and interactive way for kids to explore religion and learn about Bible stories through games, lessons, crafts, and snacks. Unfortunately many churches have had to cancel VBS, but some have adapted their program so families can still participate virtually, with take-home kits, and outdoors!

In general, VBS is for ages 4 through 12, although some churches welcome children younger. Most churches encourage anyone to attend, even if you are not an official member. Check out the available options below. We will be adding more as more plans are solidified.

While most of the churches on this list have adapted a virtual Vacation Bible School approach, some churches are choosing to hold outdoor options. With phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan, churches are able to make their own decisions about gathering while abiding by guidelines: remote, outdoor or drive-in services are encouraged and indoor services are allowed with 25% or 100-person capacity limit, whichever is lower.
