Kidlist Team’s Easter Traditions

We usually start our Easter celebrations with a quiet Easter egg hunt around the house, and a small, simple breakfast before we venture off to family members’ homes. Last year, we tried our first attempt at homemade cinnamon rolls. They were a hit! Click here for Annie’s family’s favorite cinnamon roll recipe.

Our Kidlist team also shared a few more of our Easter family traditions.

“We always have lasagna and ham for dinner. We have an egg hunt around the house or outside, and always put one empty egg out to represent the empty tomb that Jesus has risen. Happy Easter!”

Nicole

“We fill Easter eggs with small amounts of Goldfish (or Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies), Cheerios, or chocolate. Each egg has a number Sharpied on it, and then we make a piece of paper with all the numbers so the kids can match the egg with the number. My boys are 4 and 2 so it’s good for their age and skill level. This book is great, too.”

Rachel

Our block has planned a multi-yard egg hunt for the past few and it’s grown to include at least six families. That’s what I will miss most this year. My plan is to create an epic egg and scavenger hunt with clues and challenges and prizes along the way. I’m trying to stretch it out as long as possible to give my kids some real excitement. We always make deviled eggs from our easter eggs and pick the first chives to sprinkle on them.

Charlotte

“We enjoy making a bunny cake together and always eat an early Easter dinner with ham and mustard sauce, green beans, and potatoes au gratin. My parents have a gigantic egg hunt in their yard for the kids and a separate one for the adults with a prize!”

Annie
