Come celebrate the end of the summer with us at a new playground! Soehrman Park in Countryside was renovated this summer and while the splash pad is still there, the playground has been reimagined and expanded. Join us on Saturday, August 26 from 10-11:30am for our last park playdate of 2023 with free entertainment, snacks, and giveaways!

Playdate Details
The park playdate will officially start at 10:00am on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Be sure to stop by the Kidlist tent to say hi! We will be giving away a Kidlist color-changing cup, doing a Paw Patrol ticket giveaway, and will have water for everyone. Then enjoy the playground, splash pad, and free entertainment. Here are the details on things you won’t want to miss.
Unicyclist from Sparkles Entertainment
Frank the Cyclist will be around the park performing tricks. It sounds like he does some audience participation tricks too, so we can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve! The entertainers from Sparkles Entertainment are the best and we are honored to have them at all of our playdates, providing all kinds of free fun. You can also find them in our Birthday Party Guide.
Mini Music Classes with Mattix Music Studio
Mattix Music Studio will be handing out fruit snacks at their tent and leading mini music classes throughout the playdate. Your kids will have a blast with the interactive songs and music! They are super energetic and have fun songs for you. It’s a great way to check out their music classes before signing up for the next session.
Giveaway from Womens Clinic Chicago Pelvic Therapy
Meet Khushboo Joshi from Womens Clinic Chicago Pelvic Therapy at the playdate. She has helped me so much and I’m excited to introduce you to her. Stop by her table for a giveaway and find out about what she offers and don’t wait to go as long as I did!

Paw Patrol Movie Screening Pass Giveaway
Did you know that there’s a new Paw Patrol movie coming out? We are hosting a movie screening on Saturday, September 23 at Hollywood Blvd in Woodridge. The ticket giveaway on the site is coming soon, but playdate attendees get an extra chance to win! Stop by the Kidlist table to enter the giveaway.
Overall Details
The Park Playdate is on Saturday, August 26 from 10-11:30am, but you are of course welcome to come early and stay later. Please note that this is not a drop-off event. We want to bring people together to make friends and have your kids play with parent/caregiver supervision.
Our park playdates will not have rain dates, so in case of inclement weather, individual playdates will be cancelled. If that happens, this article will be updated with “Cancelled” in the title, and we will post updates on Facebook and Instagram as well.
Location and Parking
Soehrman Park is located on Willow Springs Road and Hillsdale Road in Countryside, near Flagg Creek Golf Course and Edgewood Valley Country Club. GPS lists this park as being in La Grange- that’s the correct park!
There is a small parking lot right in front of Soehrman Park that we expect to fill quickly. However, there is street parking available on Hillsdale Road. Please note that if you pull into the parking lot first and there aren’t any spots, you need to turn left out of the lot and Hillsdale Road is the first side street on the left.

Features of Soehrman Park
We love the updates to Soehrman Park! The splash pad renovation a few years ago drew us in to this hidden gem and we are so impressed with what Pleasant Dale Park District has done with it. They also added inclusive features, including a ground level merry-go-round that is accessible for wheelchairs, wide ramps, communication boards, and an Innova Rocker.
