GoGo squeeZ will also be giving away snacks at their table. Then enjoy the playground, splash pad, and free entertainment. Here are the details on things you won’t want to miss.
Juggling Show from Sparkles Entertainment
We’re looking forward to the dynamic juggling performance in the lawn by the playground! Dave will incorporate some audience participation and amazing talent in his 45 minute show that will start at 3:30pm. The staff from Sparkles Entertainment are experts and we are honored to have them at all of our playdates, providing all kinds of free fun. (Click here to check out the full lineup and see what you have to look forward to!)
Snacks from GoGo squeeZ
Jorie from GoGo squeeZ will be handing out their delicious snack pouches. She has a great assortment for you to try! And if you get thirsty, there’s a cooler right by the Kidlist table filled with water.
Games with Pleasant Dale Park District
Shoot soccer goals in the lawn for a chance to win prizes! Pleasant Dale Park District owns and maintains Soehrman Park and we are thrilled that they offered their park for this playdate. They will be there handing out info on future events and programs in addition to playing games with kids.
Craft from Hodgkins Public Library
Head over to the gazebo for craft time! The library will have various crafts for your kids to choose from while they enjoy the shade.
The Park Playdate is on Tuesday, August 9 from 3-4:30pm, but you are of course welcome to come early and stay later. Please note that this is not a drop-off event. We want to bring people together to make friends and have your kids play with parent/caregiver supervision.
Our park playdates will not have rain dates, so in case of inclement weather, individual playdates will be cancelled. If that happens, this article will be updated with “Cancelled” in the title, and we will post updates on Facebook and Instagram as well.
There is a parking lot for Soehrman Park with parking spots on the left and basketball courts on the right, but you can park on both sides for this event. There is also street parking on Hillsdale Road, which is on the west side of the park, accessible to the north. So if you enter the parking lot and can’t find a spot, turn left and make another left onto Hillsdale. Please adhere to any no parking signs, but you should be able to find a space to park on that street.
There is a permanent building with restrooms facing the parking lot.
