When you live in Chicago, you have to be prepared for a chilly Halloween. You just never know what the weather will be like! Check out some of these indoor Halloween happenings in the southland if Halloween turns out to be cold or gray.

Indoor Trick-or-Treating and Events in the Southwest Suburbs

Trick or Treat at the Library (Frankfort)
October 31, 2018 | 9:30 am-4:30 pm
Put on your costume and visit the library for fun indoors trick or treating.

Spooky Little Story Time (Frankfort)
October 31, 2018 | 10:00 am- 10:30 am
Check out this spooky story time in addition to the trick or treating occurring at the library. Story time will also include a craft afterward.

Halloween Happenings (Homewood)
October 31, 2018 | 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Stop in and check out the DJ with games, such as mummy wrap, limbo, freeze dance, monster buckets, wheel of witches, brew toss, and a bounce house.  The 5:30-6:30 pm time will be designed for children and their families on the autism spectrum or with Sensory Processing Disorder.

Bass Pro Shop Halloween Event (Bolingbrook)
October 31, 2018 | 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Stop in for some free activities and crafts and take a photo with the Peanuts characters.

Trick or Treat at the Library (Lemont)
October 31, 2018 | 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
A great place to relax, stay warm, and receive treats and trinkets from some popular storybook characters.

Get Glowing with Gizmos (Orland Park)
October 31, 2018 | 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Halloween BOGO including trick or treating, zombie laser tag, spooky music and costume contest.

Kristen is a Burbank native who settled with her family in New Lenox in 2016. She loves her new neighborhood and could not be happier with her new home. Kristen and her husband have three amazing children – two daughters, ages five years and four months, and a two year-old son. She also has a furry shih-tzu baby, who is 10 years old. The kids are active and energetic, but Kristen enjoys providing a mix of structured play/activities and downtime at home. She is passionate about keeping her family healthy and happy.
