Fireworks

Enjoy fireworks set to music at 9:30pm on Saturday! I’m hearing that the best place to set up to watch the fireworks display is going to be in the grassy area in the southwest corner of Spring Rock Park, just south of where the food vendors will be set up and west of the carnival.

Food and Beverages

Beside the food offered at the carnival, a variety of food trucks will be at the Centennial Celebration, including Chills Italian Ice, Smallcakes (who will be selling a special centennial cupcake), Zaney Dogs, Domino’s Pizza, Beach Avenue BBQ and a taco vendor. Milk Money Brewing created an exclusive centennial beer called “Harvest Daze” for the event, so that’s something to try too!

Western Springs Park District will be selling Centennial keepsake pint glasses at the event so you can take a piece of the history home as well. It should be a great celebration of 100 years of family fun in the parks.

A huge thanks to Community Bank of Western Springs for being the premier sponsor of the Centennial Celebration!
