Willow Pond Park and Splash Pad in Willowbrook was all newly renovated this year, completed in June, 2018. It features a playground with soft, rubbery surface and the splash pad with small fountains is perfect for young ones.
Bring a lunch or snacks to enjoy in the picnic shelters with plenty of shade and tables. You can even grill there!
The adjacent Willow Pond has a fountain and is stocked with fish. So if you would like to go fishing, this would be a nice spot.
My kids loved to big frog spouting water from its mouth! There are also bathrooms here, which is a huge plus.
Directions to Willow Pond Park and Splash Pad
Willow Pond Park can be found on Adams Street off Plainfield Road. It’s a little tricky to find because there aren’t signs on Plainfield for it, but Adams Street is between Madison and Route 83 on the north side of the street. Turn north on Adams and you’ll see the park and splash pad on the right. There are perpendicular parking spots right in front.
Hours for Willow Pond Splash Pad
Willow Pond Splash Pad is open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The water sprays are button-activated and work between those hours.
Down the street from Willow Pond is the also brand new Darien Community Park! Head west on Plainfield, cross Route 83 and you will see this new playground on the right, off Clarendon Hills Road. Click here to see our overview of the park with photographs.
