Everyone is welcome to add events to the Kidlist calendar, given that they are drop-in and/or free special events (no ongoing classes or camps that require registration) and are local to the west and/or southwest suburbs of Chicago. Click on the blue “Submit an Event” button and fill out the form.
Learn the legends of the moon on these monthly night hikes. Traditional cultures have names for each month's full moon, signifying important natural events of the season. Local volunteers participate in Park Pride helping beautify and clean up their neighborhoods. Head into the parks of Addison to spread mulch, pull invasive weeds, plant flowers, and pick up trash. A fun way to get back into nature, and discover how to improve the local environment. Plants are from We Grow Dreams, a non-profit dedicated to help adults with disabilities transition into the workforce. Park Pride is a village-wide volunteer service day dedicated to beautifying our parks and outdoor spaces. Residents donate one morning of their time to help improve our community! Gardens are weeded and planted, trees mulched, small branches picked up, walkways swept and litter collected. Special projects are also planned for each park location.
