Everyone is welcome to add events to the Kidlist calendar, given that they are drop-in and/or free special events (no ongoing classes or camps that require registration) and are local to the west and/or southwest suburbs of Chicago. Click on the blue “Submit an Event” button and fill out the form.

Every year on Independence Day, runners don their brightest red, white and blue, and head to Lake Ellyn Park for the Freedom Four™ 4-Mile Run. A holiday tradition, the race starts and ends at Lake Ellyn Park and is open to ages 5 and up. Awards are presented to the top two male and female finishers in each age division at around 8:30am. Join us for our 5th annual 2K kids race! At approximately 1.25 miles, this race is designed for kids of all ages. At each half mile, participants will compete against each other in fun, exciting, and age-appropriate challenges. Participants will be timed, and prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place runners in each age and gender group. Group are divided by age: 4-5 years, 6-7 years, and 8-10 years.
