Time Capsule Celebration
In honor of the newly renovated Kids’ Library, help celebrate the past, present, and future by participating in the creation of a Library time capsule. Participants are invited to write letters and place them in the capsule. Pick up letter templates in the Kids Library July 16-Aug. 25. The capsule will be opened in ten years on the Library’s 25th anniversary. No registration required.

Its a Wonderful Life Radio Play with GreenMan Theatre
The beloved American holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” come to life in a 1940s radio broadcast performed by Elmhurst’s own GreenMan Theatre Troupe. The story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. Co-sponsored by Elmhurst Public Library and Elmhurst History Museum. Kids (newborns through grade eight) can join. Register at the Kids’ Help Desk with your valid Elmhurst Public Library card anytime from December 22 until February 28. Once signed up, kids receive a bookmark, a booklog to record the books read, and a reading challenge. Kids who reach reading goals by February 28 receive a sticker; a raffle ticket; and coupons for Skyzone, Meatheads, Brewpoint Coffee, and LEGOland.
