Nothing says fall more than a pumpkin patch, and many of these are so much more than just that. With carnival attractions, animals, farm stores with fall treats, and full out amusement rides. There are so many options in Chicagoland… how do you choose?!
That’s why we created this guide! It ranges from small local patches where you can harvest your own pumpkins to larger scale farms that have amusement rides and extensive entertainment for the whole family. Each location has pricing and the features outlined to make it easier to find the exact experience your family is looking for. We even have a map for you too!
Some of these farms offer the chance to the field and pick your own pumpkin to wash off afterwards. The larger farm destinations often have corn mazes, jumping pillows, fall themed sweets and more! We’ve also noted places with both pumpkin patches and apple-picking in case you want to combine two fall favorites in one trip.
Kidlist Tips: We’ve learned from experience that rain can make the fields muddy, so be sure to wear boots or closed-toed shoes, or bring a change of shoes for the car. Also, check the farm website before visiting because sometimes they offer online discounts if you purchase ahead of time.
