Finding time to fit in a date night can be tricky, and adding the task of finding reliable childcare can make things even more difficult. No need to worry: we’ve rounded up Parents Night Out and Kids Night Out programs for both you and your child to enjoy a night out.
These events are filled with games, food, crafts and other activities. While your child is off having fun while you can relax at a peaceful dinner date, enjoy an exciting outing with friends, or enjoy some good old-fashioned alone time. Sounds like a win-win!
Nearly all of these events require advance registration, so don’t delay in scheduling your night out.
Parents Night Out (ARC Center, West Chicago)
August 16, 2024 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Games, crafts, and activities, including free time to play in the ARC’s TreeTop Escape. Register in advance. $15/resident, $18/non-resident.
Parents Night Out (Salt Creek Rural Park District, Palatine)
August 16, October 18, November 15, December 13, 2024 | 6:00pm – 9:30pm
Register in advance for a these monthly, themed events. Snacks, crafts, activities and a movie will be offered. $15 per child, $10 per additional sibling.
Parents Night Out – Kids Fun Night (Oakbrook Terrace)
August 17, 2024 | 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Visit the Lake View Nature Center for nature activities, a hike, a pizza party, and more. Kids ages 4-13 years old are welcome, and should dress for the weather.
Kids Night Out (Fort Hill Activity Center, Naperville)
August 23, September 20, October 25, November 22, December 13, 2024 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Themed kids nights out with games, activities, and more, including include dinner and juice for kids ages 4-12. Advance registration through the park district required. Price is $21/fitness member, $26/resident, $39/non-resident.
Friday Night Out (Downers Grove)
August 23, September 27, October 25, and November 22, 2024 | 4:30pm – 7:30pm
Meant for younger visitors, this program is similar to Wild Night Out. Games, campfire food, and crafts will fill your child’s night. $35 per child. Register in advance.
Parents Night Out (Berwyn)
August 30, September 20, November 15, and December 20, 2024 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Registration is required for this fun night out with the Berwyn Park District. $20/child.
Flying High Pizza Fun Night (Countryside)
September 6, 2024 | 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Enjoy slices of pizza between rounds on the trampolines, balance beams, and foam pits. Advance registration, which costs $18, closes 2 days in advance. Register after that, or at the door for $22.
Pizza and PJs (Bolingbrook)
September 6, October 4, November 15, December 6, 2024 | 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Themed nights including pizza for all. Children can wear PJs or regular clothes, must be potty trained. $25 for residents, $37 for non-residents.
Parents’ Night Out at Pavilion Aquatic Center (Elk Grove Village)
September 6 and 20, October 4 and 18, November 1 and 15, December 6 and 20, 2024 | 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Kids will play games, do crafts, and swim in the pool during this 2-hour event. $15 for residents, $18 for non-residents.
Wild Night Out (Downers Grove)
September 14, October 12, and November 9, 2024 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Enjoy campfire food, night hikes, and outdoor adventures. Register in advance, $35 per child.
Wild Wild West (Wheeling)
September 13, 2024 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Kids will have fun at a western-themed night out, including crafts, dancing, and pizza. $20 for residents, $25 for non-residents.
Parents Night Out at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center (Geneva)

Crafts, games, movies, and more for ages 2-11. Advance registration through the park district required. $20/resident, $25/non-resident.
Kids Night Out (Lisle)
September 20, October 25, November 22, December 13, 2024 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Run by the Gentle Learning Preschool staff, kids will participate in games, crafts, food, and more. $30 for residents, $45 for non-residents.
Tween Nights (Ackerman Sports Complex, Glen Ellyn)
September 20, 2024 | 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Kids ages 8-12 kick off the weekend with games, activities, and pizza at the Ackerman SFC. Register in advance through the park district. $35/resident, $45/non-resident.
E-Sports: Kid’s Night Out (Hoffman Estates)
October 12, 2024 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
7-12 years olds will enjoy a nice of e-games. Register in advance. $15 per resident, $17 per non-resident.
Parents Night Out (Bloomingdale)
October 25 and November 15, 2024 | 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Kids will enjoy crafts, games, with pizza and dessert being served. Fee is $27 per resident child, $32 for non-residents. Register in advance.
