Finding time to fit in a date night can be tricky, and adding the task of finding reliable childcare can make things even more difficult. No need to worry: we’ve rounded up Parents Night Out and Kids Night Out programs for both you and your child to enjoy a night out.
These events are filled with games, food, crafts and other activities. While your child is off having fun while you can relax at a peaceful dinner date, enjoy an exciting outing with friends, or enjoy some good old-fashioned alone time. Sounds like a win-win!
Nearly all of these events require advance registration, so don’t delay in scheduling your night out.
Flying High Pizza Fun Night (Countryside)
September 5, October 3, November 7 and December 5, 2025 | 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Enjoy slices of pizza between rounds on the trampolines, balance beams, and foam pits. Advance registration, which costs $18, closes 2 days in advance. Register after that, or at the door for $22.
Parents Night Out at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center (Geneva)
September 12, October 3, November 7, 21, and December 12, 2025 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Crafts, games, movies, and more for ages 3-11. Advance registration through the park district required. $20/resident, $25/non-resident.
Wild Night Out (Downers Grove)
September 13, October 11, and November 8, 2025 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Enjoy campfire food, night hikes, and outdoor adventures. Register in advance, $35 per child.
Kids Night Out (Fort Hill Activity Center, Naperville)
September 19, October 24, November 21, and December 19, 2025 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Themed kids nights out with games, activities, and more, including include dinner and juice for kids ages 4-12. Advance registration through the park district required. Price is $21/fitness member, $26/resident, $39/non-resident.
Parents’ Night Out at Pavilion Aquatic Center (Elk Grove Village)
September 19, October 3 and 17, November 7 and 21, December 5 and 19, 2025 | 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Kids will play games, do crafts, and swim in the pool during this 3-hour event. $15 for residents, $18 for non-residents.
Kids Night Out (Lisle)
September 19, October 17, November 21, and December 12, 2025 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Run by the Gentle Learning Preschool staff, kids will participate in games, crafts, food, and more. $32 for residents, $47 for non-residents.
Parents Night Out (Salt Creek Rural Park District, Palatine)
September 19, October 17, November 21, and December 19, 2025 | 6:00pm – 9:30pm
Register in advance for a these monthly, themed events. Snacks, crafts, activities and a movie will be offered. $15 per child, $10 per additional sibling.
Friday Night Out (Downers Grove)
September 19, October 24, and November 21, 2025 | 4:30pm – 7:30pm
Meant for younger visitors, this program is similar to Wild Night Out. Games, campfire food, and crafts will fill your child’s night. $35 per child. Register in advance.
Parents Night Out (ARC Center, West Chicago)

Games, crafts, and activities, including free time to play in the ARC’s TreeTop Escape. Register in advance. $15/resident, $18/non-resident.
Parents Night Out – Kids Fun Night (Oakbrook Terrace)

Visit the Lake View Nature Center for nature activities, a hike, a pizza party, and more. Kids ages 4-14 years old are welcome, and should dress for the weather.
Friday Fun Movie Nights (Park District of Forest Park)

Family-friendly movies shown with food including pizza, popcorn, and drinks. Register in advance, $13 per child.
Pizza and PJs (Bolingbrook)

Themed nights including pizza for all. Children can wear PJs or regular clothes, must be potty trained. $25 for residents, $37 for non-residents.
Parents Night Out (St. Charles)

Register in advance for themed activities. Registration is $26 for residents, $32 for non-residents.
Parents Night Out (Bloomingdale)
October 24 and November 21, 2025 | 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Kids will enjoy crafts, games, with pizza and dessert being served. Fee is $28 per resident child, $33 for non-residents. Discounted admission for additional siblings. Register in advance.
Parents Day Out (Lake View Nature Center, Oakbrook Terrace)
December 13, 2025 | 11:00am – 2:00pm
Registration is required for this fun afternoon at the Lake View Nature Center. $40 per child.
Holiday Prep Childcare (Bolingbrook)
December 13, 2025 | 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Register in advance for MAGNA-TILES fun, games, food, and swimming for older participants. $22-25 per resident, $25-27 per non-resident.
