Local Fish Fry Events and Carryout for 2021

Having grown up in a Catholic home, I love a good fish fry on Friday. Keeping traditions alive during the pandemic has been tricky, but this is a great way to support local businesses. Restaurants, churches and VFWs throughout the western suburbs offer tasty fish options for families during Lent. Many have modified their menu or are limiting to carry-out only. Make sure to check their websites, even if it’s a favorite that you’ve visited in years past. If you don’t see your favorite listed, drop it in the comments below.

Local Fish Fry Events at Restaurants, Churches, VFWs, and More for Lent 2021

Restaurants with Fish Fry Specials

Bloomingdale Golf Club (Bloomingdale)
Their delicious haddock fish fry for $15.50/person will be offered for curbside pickup only this year.

Catch35 (Naperville)
Lenten specials include delicious options such as tuna tacos, seafood platter, scallops & crab risotto, and more!

Eddie’s of Arlington (Arlington Heights)
All-you-can-eat fish fry on Wednesdays and Fridays year-round.

Edelweiss Restaurant (Norridge)
Beer Battered Fish Fry with sides for $15.95 on Fridays. Cod platter for $23 served on Saturdays and Sundays.

Emmett’s (Downers Grove)
On Fridays, Emmett’s is offering beer-battered cod meals. Order an individual portion for $19 or a family meal for $49.

Fitz’s Pub (Elmhurst)
Friday all-you-can-eat beer-battered fish fry; $12.95/person. Fish sandwich and egg-and-pepper sandwich specials, too.

Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp (Lombard and Hillside)
Everyday option for fried fish and shrimp.

Moveable Feast + Company (Geneva and Wheaton)
Friday fish and chip special at their Wheaton location.

Off Broadway Pub (Brookfield)
All-you-can-eat fish fry with coleslaw for $12.95/adult or $9.95/child.

Pilot Pete’s (Schaumburg)
Pilot Pete’s is temporarily closed at this time. Their usual menu features all-you-can-eat fish fry with sides on Wednesdays and Fridays. Check their website for the most up-to-date information about reopening.

Quigley’s Irish Pub (Naperville)
Everyday options for fried and chips and fish tacos. Family meals for two or four are also available.

Rafferty’s Irish Pub (Countryside)
Fish and chips is on their daily menu, but their all-you-can-eat fish fry with sides is not being offered at this time.

Roosters (Bloomingdale)
All-you-can-eat beer-battered haddock with sides on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Tomczak’s Tap (Wood Dale)
Lent Fish Fry menu Fridays from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Lunch is served from 11:00am – 1:30pm.

Towne Tap (Warrenville)
Friday fish fry from 5:00pm – 8:30pm (not serving during lunch at this time).

Carryout only offered this year, with delicious fish, crab cakes, shrimp, kids meals and sides.

    Holy Guardian Angels Parish, St. Louise de Marillac site, this Friday 3/6 Fish Fry starts at 5:30pm, North Campus Colonnade Room.
