Outdoor Movies in Chicago’s Near Western Suburbs

Now presenting all the outdoor movies being shown in the near western suburbs for Summer 2017! This post is brought to you by Glen Ellyn Park District.

Angry Birds, The Secret Life of Pets, The Jungle Book, and SING will be shown as part of the Glen Ellyn Park District’s “Movies in the Parks” series. Free to attend, movies will be broadcast at dusk. But the fun doesn’t start with the movie! New this year, the Park District will have a kid-friendly craft project or activity before the movie.

This year’s schedule is as follows: Angry Birds on June 7, The Secret Life of Pets on June 28, The Jungle Book on July 12, and SING on August 9. Park locations vary by movie. Visit www.gepark.org/movies for details.

Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. A flashlight is also helpful when returning to your car after the show and bug spray to keep away pesky insects. Movie fun continues with indoor movies in the colder months at Ackerman SFC.
