These home haunts across Chicagoland add live actors to their displays, from roaming witches and clowns to full walk-throughs with costumed scarers. Most are free, and many collect donations for local charities, so bring a few dollars if you can.
Scare levels vary a lot. Some haunts offer no-scare daytime hours, sensory-friendly times, or a shortcut around the scariest scenes. Others feature gore, strobe effects, or intense walk-throughs. Actors usually appear only on weekends or select nights, so check each listing and its social pages before you head out.

We do have a table for donations to help us grow and boy has the community helped us grow into a bigger, better haunt! We will always be kid friendly. We want kids and adults to love Halloween! Chamber of Torture is our separate haunted-house attraction, designed for those looking for a more intense horror experience. It takes visitors through a dark, theatrical environment inspired by classic horror and the darker side of the genre. The attraction is built and operated by us, with a focus on creating detailed scenes, atmosphere, characters, and scares rather than simply putting up decorations.
