Gathering on the Green Summer Festival in Western Springs

The Western Springs Business Association (WSBA) has exciting news this year… Gathering on the Green is moving to a Saturday and will have longer hours! That means more kids activities, more entertainment, and more fun! Gathering on the Green, the signature event on the Tower Green surrounding the iconic Western Springs Water Tower, will be on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from noon to 10pm.

Jo’s Footwork Studio in Western Springs is celebrating 35 years in the community with dance classes for children and adults! Come see one of their companies perform at 12:30 pm to kick off the festival.

Frankie Ace, a resident of Western Springs, has been performing comedy magic at restaurants, birthday parties, block parties, corporate events, and festivals for over 20 years and is always a hit with the kids!

Enjoy some impressive Irish dance from the Trinity Irish Dancers, a local dance school out of Western Springs, at 1:45 pm.

The students from School of Rock in Hinsdale will be rocking out on the stage at 2:45 pm and are always talented and engaging!

The Pigs are a local band out of La Grange that describes their music as a mix of classic, southern rock and Americana blended with folk, country, blues and rock. They are really talented and we’re looking forward to them performing at Gathering on the Green this year!

Wedding Banned headlines at Chicago clubs, like Joe’s on Weed Street, 115 Bourbon Street, Durty Nellies and Cubby Bear. They have also headlined over 50 street festivals, including The Taste of Lincoln Avenue, Belmont Sheffield Music Fest, Retro on Roscoe, and The Taste of Chicago! We are excited to have them in Western Springs.

Thank you to the headline sponsors, Lauren Walz from DMG and Heartland Bank & Trust, for supporting the Gathering on the Green!
