The Western Springs Business Association (WSBA) is excited to announce that you can buy discounted wristbands for their signature event, Gathering on the Green, this summer! Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon and evening of food, beverages, live music, entertainment, and activities for kids on the Tower Green.

Kids Activities at Gathering on the Green
There will be pony rides, a petting zoo, Pirate’s Revenge carnival ride, Candyland carousel, triple-play sports zone, inflatable skee ball, bounce house, three balloon artists, three face painters, belly bouncers, and laser tag so your kids are sure to have a great time. Please note that the kids activities will be from 4-8pm, while the event continues with live music and food until 10pm.
All of the activities and attractions for kids are included in the wristband price of $20 per child. All children participating in the kids activities will need a wristband. You can buy discounted wristbands in advance for the price of $15 per child until Tuesday, June 24 at 5pm! Not only do you receive a discounted price, you can avoid the wristband line at the festival.
Then pick up your advance sale wristbands at Colonial Barber Shoppe in Western Springs at your convenience on Wednesday or Thursday between 10am-5pm the week of the event. If you are not able to pick up your tickets during that time, stop by the volunteer and wristband sales tent the day of the event and they will be set aside for you there.
Local Food and Businesses
Come hungry because there are going to be so many food choices this year! Local food and restaurant vendors include:
- Brats and hot dogs grilled by the Western Springs Fire Department
- Pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, mac ’n cheese, water, and pop from Beach Avenue BBQ
- Burgers, brisket, grilled chicken, falafel burger, bbq pork, fries, fried cheese, and soft pretzels from Monk’s Mobile Kitchen
- Corndogs, hotdogs, cheese and chilli dogs, tater tots, fried mac and cheese, chicken nuggets pickle on a stick, and nachos from Frosty Dog
- Tacos, burritos, and quesadillas from Taqueria Mi Taquito
- Smoothies, green tea, and lemonade from Uni Uni
- Shaved ice and candy from Tropical Sno
- Kernel Dan’s Kettle Corn
- Chill’s Italian Ice
Your family can enjoy a taste of Western Springs and beyond while relaxing at one of the picnic tables, conveniently located between the kids activities and food vendors. Enjoy beer, wine, and hard selzer at the beer garden. All food will be sold for cash; alcohol will be available for purchase with tickets.
You can also stop by the tables of various member businesses and organizations for giveaways and to connect with others in the community.
