Hanover Park Bike Ride Illinois

FreeThis course is designed to develop awareness, technique, and safety skills in children and adults while on a bike. Participants will learn about choosing a bicycle, parts of a bike, essential equipment, and how to safely and comfortably ride a bike in various traffic conditions. Parking lot and on-the-bike activities will include a bike safety check, helmet fit, and the opportunity to practice basic bike handling skills of starting, stopping, riding in a straight line, avoiding hazards, signaling, turning, and yielding. The course is designed to provide confidence and the skills to safely use a bike to get around and have fun.
