Gone Fishin’ Derby

Come to Wildwood Nature Center for the Gone Fishin’ Derby at the Maine Park ponds. Registration fee includes one container of bait (wax worms or night crawlers) and all participants receive a goody bag. Additional bait is also available for purchase. Registrants must bring their own poles.

There are three different age groups: Ages 4 and under, Ages 5-8, and Ages 9-15. Each group has its own 60- or 90-minute fishing session.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior the start time to check in. Prizes and trophies are awarded for the largest fish, the smallest fish, the most fish caught, and for special catches in each age group at the end of their fishing time. Children ages 2-12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Age Group Time Slots:

Ages 2-4: 8:30am-9:30am
Ages 5-8: 10:30am-Noon
Ages 9-15: 8:30am-10:00am
