Explore and Discover Together: Día de Muertos/Explora y Descubre Juntos: Día de Muertos

For families.
Celebrate Día de Muertos and build your own shoebox-size ofrenda, an altar made to honor the life of a passed loved one. Ofrendas can also be created to remember pets or celebrities. During the program, you may provide a digital file of a photo for us to print for you to display in your ofrenda. We will also learn basic circuit skills by using copper tape, batteries, and LED bulbs.
Best for families with children ages 6 and older. Please register for either the Saturday, October 21 session at South Branch or the Thursday, October 26 session at the Main Library. Walk-ins are welcome if there is space to accommodate.

Celebre el Día de Muertos y construya su propia ofrenda del tamaño de una caja de zapatos, un altar hecho para honrar la vida de un ser querido fallecido. También se pueden crear ofrendas para recordar mascotas o celebridades. Durante el programa, usted puede proporcionarnos un archivo digital de una fotografía para que la imprimamos y la muestre en su ofrenda. También aprenderemos habilidades básicas de circuitos mediante el uso de cinta de cobre, baterías y bombillas LED.
Para familias con niños de 6 años en adelante. Regístrese para la sesión del sábado 21 de octubre en la Extensión del Sur o para la sesión del jueves 26 de octubre en la Biblioteca Principal. Los visitantes sin reservación son bienvenidos si hay espacio para acomodar.
