My son and I recently had the chance to check out Dreamland Kids, a new indoor play place and event space located in Glen Ellyn. The owner, Patricia, kindly shared her vision with us which is primarily focused on events like children’s birthday parties (and even baby showers), but also includes open play for young kids up to 6 years old.
Features of Dreamland Kids Open Play
The Dreamland Kids Playroom is a shoe-free zone, so make sure you wear or bring socks. If you forget socks, they have non-slip socks available as well. There were small cubbies and coat hooks near the entrance for your convenience.
The two main play structures are both eye-catching and engaging right when you walk in. My son went back and forth multiple times between the soft play carousel and the colorful ball pit with a climbing structure and slide.
Beyond this area, you will find a toddler room with age-appropriate toys including a small slide, train table, and soft play accessories. Patricia also let my son pick a little prize out of their box when we were done playing and his entire face lit up! I thought this was a great way to make the transition of leaving a little easier for little ones.
Open Play Prices for Dreamland Kids
Admission to the play area is $14 per child. Kids 6 months and under are free.
Food at Open Play
Water and coffee are always complimentary which made both my son and I happy! There is no food available for purchase but they welcome outside food and beverages so pack a snack and enjoy it at one of their little cafe tables while you’re there.

Event Space Rental
Dreamland Kids offers multiple days and times for private events and party time slots can be adjusted to your needs. If you need your party to start earlier due to kids schedules, you can let them know in your party inquiry.
Private party times available for booking:
Fridays: 12-3pm – $295, 5-8pm – $695
Saturdays: 12-3pm or 5-8pm – $695
Sundays: 12-3pm or 4:30-7:30pm – $695
Weekdays 12-3pm or 5-8pm – $295
The following items are included in each party: Full private party room, organic juice boxes for kids, free coffee and water for parents. Custom party balloon decorations available upon request starting at $250.
Dreamland Kids is currently offering $200 off a party rental if you book in June or July 2024.

There is one bathroom near the back of the space equipped with a changing table.
Hours and Location
Dreamland Kids is located at 3S016 IL-53, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137, in the same strip mall next to The Abbington. They are open for open play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am to 3pm.
Recommended Ages
Dreamland Kids is recommended for ages 0-6 years old but we think kids ages 0-4 is the sweet spot for maximum enjoyment.
What else is nearby?
If you want to extend your outing and make this a combo trip, the Morton Arboretum is just a few miles away. We stopped at Lola’s Churros in Lisle for a treat afterwards, which was only a 7-minute drive and a great finish to our morning.
