Kids can hop on big trucks, honk the horn on cool cars, and pretend to steer fire trucks to save the day at these local Touch A Truck events throughout the western suburbs. At some of these family-friendly festivities, first responders who drive emergency response vehicles will be on hand to answer questions and give tours, too. You’ll also find school buses, ambulances, garbage trucks, and so much more.
We’ve noted some sensory-friendly times where the sirens and lights will be turned off, too. Don’t see your favorite event listed? Leave it in the comments below or email Annie at annie@mykidlist.com. Seeing as these touch-a-truck events happen from spring to fall, we will continue to update our list as dates are publicized.
