Morning Adventure
Kick things off at one of Lisle’s most popular inclusive playgrounds—think zipline, accessible swings, massive climbing structure-designed for children of all abilities. The space is almost completely fenced, with only an opening at the entrance. Parking is directly outside the playground.
Lunch Time
Drive to a local family-friendly diner, known for the most creative hot dog pairings in town with quick service, delicious french fries, and coloring activities for the kids. There is a kid’s menu (with a special hat and lollipop that come with each kids meal) sure to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
Splashing Good Time or Nature Break in Downtown Lisle
Choose your own path or do both!
- A quiet spot where you can take a mini hike around the pond (0.3 mile loop), stop in the shade in the gazebo and spot turtles, frogs, and birds. If you can, park in the Garfield Ave Parking Lot. If this lot is full, an angled spot on Main Street is just a little further walk.
- Take some time to cool off in the splash pad adjacent to the park. It is operational from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Press the button on the flower to activate. In the cooler months, there is also a small park a toddler climbing structure, as well as a tall slide.
Treat Stop
Reward a great day out with a visit to this picture perfect churro shop. They offer delicious churros, coffee, and ice cream. Take advantage of their photo ops! Bonus: It’s walking distance to the next optional stop.
Bonus Add-On
Cap off your day by stopping in the new bookstore for 15–20 minutes of wind-down time. My kids love playing chess at the tables in the front while I browse the books.
