The Park Playdate Series is back for the third year! Join us at some of our favorite parks over the summer to enjoy free entertainment, snacks, and connecting with other families in the community.
Who made this all possible? Matthew Hemingway from Domino’s Pizza! We’re excited to partner with him to bring you loads of fun!
Did you know that Domino’s is locally owned and invested in the community? We love that they support us, not only with delicious pizza, but with caring about local family fun.
We also partnered with some amazing local businesses and kid-friendly organizations to bring you great entertainment. So check out the overview below and mark your calendars!
Please note that these are not a drop-off events. We want to bring people together to make friends and have your kids play with parent/caregiver supervision.
Thursday, July 20, 2023 | 10-11:30am at Gordon Park in La Grange
Gordon Park is a sprawling park off La Grange Road and Ogden Avenue that has both a playground and splash pad. We’re big fans of the fenced-in splash pad with colorful sprayers. With wide ramps and multiple slides, the playground it tons of fun too! The covered picnic area will be perfect for face painting and getting out of the sun.
Park District of La Grange has generously offered to let us host the first playdate at Gordon Park and we’re excited about it!

- Be amazed and interact with a roaming juggler from Sparkles Entertainment

Tuesday, August 8, 2023 | 3-4:30pm at Spring Rock Park in Western Springs
Spring Rock Park is an amazing park that is continually being improved. All of the playground equipment was replaced in 2018 to include a climbing web, two zip lines, and layered climbing structure, along with many slides and play equipment. In 2020 they added a treehouse deck and in 2021 they built a splash pad. They recently broke ground on eight new pickleball courts, which are slated to be done next spring!
We love working with the Western Springs Park District and are thrilled to be able to host a park playdate at Spring Rock Park.

- DuPage Children’s Museum will be there with activities and more

Saturday, August 26, 2023 | 10-11:30am in Soehrman Park in Countryside
Did you hear that Soehrman Park is building a new playground?! The splash pad is always a hit and we’re excited to be able to enjoy the newly installed playground during our final playdate of the summer too. Although this park is located in Countryside, right on the border of La Grange, it’s managed by Pleasantdale Park District.
A huge thank you to Pleasantdale Park District for the use of their new playground and splash pad for this playdate!

Sparkles Entertainment is providing one unique show at each park, including a roaming juggler, face painters, magic show with animals, and unicyclist. They have been providing professional performers for over 20 years and we have worked with them for a long time- almost since Kidlist started! Princess Party by MC is a family owned, mother-daughter team, that provides incredible attention to your child’s events.
