Upper’s Land in La Granges opens to the public tomorrow, August 3, 2024! For those of you familiar to the area, we were all anxiously awaiting what was going to be at the former Thipi Thai location. It’s an indoor play area, café, and retail space!
If your kids like inflatables, they are going to love Upper’s Land. They also have a fun cotton candy machine and shaved ice cream at the café.
Features of Upper’s Land
The inflatable play area is called Upper’s Happy Land and has a giant bounce house filling the space.
The owners are planning on changing out the bounce house for the holidays and switching it out for a ball pit and other inflatables for treasure hunt events. They also mentioned that the staff is planning on cleaning the surfaces every day and they will also be hiring an outside cleaning service for deep cleaning.
Know Before You Go
Socks are required to play at Upper’s Land, but if you forget socks they have some for purchase, priced at $3 per pair. There are cubbies to the right of the bounce house to store your shoes while playing.
There is a maximum capacity of 20 children in the inflatable at one time. One parent or guardian is welcome to enter the bounce house with their child, you can watch from the perimeter, or sit at a nearby table by the café. Upper’s Land is not a drop off facility and a parent or guardian is required to stay.

Food: Upper’s Yummy Land
By the entrance, there is a flower cotton candy machine. You can purchase a token for $8 from the front desk, which you then put in the slot of the machine. It asks you to choose what shape you would like and you can watch it make your cotton candy flower from the window. They are bigger than your head!
At the café there are various flavors of shaved ice cream and beverages, including boba, smoothies, iced tea, yakulty (a yogurt drink), milk tea, and marble drinks. No food is permitted in the bounce house area.
Retail Space: Upper’s Treasure Land
There are stuffies and toys available for purchase by the café.
Bathrooms
There are men and women’s bathrooms to the left of the inflatable area, past the café, with changing tables in both and manual flush toilets.
Hours and Location
Upper’s Land is open daily from 10am-6pm except Sundays from 3-5pm when parties are scheduled. They are located in Calendar Court in La Grange at 25 W. Calendar Avenue.
Prices for Upper’s Land
Admission to the play area is $20 per child and babies under 6 months are free with a paid ticket. One adult can enter per paid child and additional adults are $5 each.

Recommended Ages
All ages are welcome at Upper’s Land, but we would recommend this space for ages 3-7 years old.
