Playgrounds
Lake Arlington is home to two large play areas adjacent to each other near The Boathouse. Families will find a large playground for older children, as well as a separate area designated for smaller children. The main structure of the large playground has a web-like climbing structure and slides, along with a nearby bay of various swing styles.
The toddler area has a playground for littles, 4-seat seesaw, and interactive play features. Nearby, visitors will also find a music area, complete with outdoor instruments.
Boat Rentals and Boat Storage or Personal Usage
All boat rentals are 1-hour sessions. Paddle Boats cost $7 for each adult, and $3 for each child 2-5 years old. Single kayaks are available for $15, while tandem kayaks are $20. Sailboats are rented at $30 for the first hour, and $15 each subsequent hour. Paddle boards are $15 per hour, and a pontoon paddle boat is $45. For those interested in going more than once, a 5-hour punchcard can be purchased for $120. If you are interested in renting a sailboat, call ahead to confirm availability.
Have your own sailboat, kayak, canoe or rowboat? Private boat owners can utilize Lake Arlington for $10 a day. Season passes are available for $60 to residents, $80 to non-residents.

Bike/Walking Path
There is a 2-mile paved path around the grounds that are marked with two-way lanes. Bikes, skateboards, non-motorized scooters, and rollerblades are all welcome on the paths, but should be used cautiously and always yield to pedestrians.
Fishing Pier
Visitors are welcome to fish at Lake Arlington, and are expected to catch and release. Anyone fishing between the ages of 16-65 years old must obtain a fishing license per the Illinois Department of Conservation. There is no equipment rental or bait sales at The Boathouse, so anyone expecting to fish must come with their own supplies.
Outdoor Game Tables
Guests will find outdoor game tables under a gazebo near the Boathouse. Don’t forget to pack your checkers!
Food Nearby and at the Boathouse
Families are welcome to bring their own food from home, or stop at a number of fast food restaurants along Rand Road nearby. Concessions are sold at the Boathouse, including pizza, nachos, hand-dipped ice cream, popcorn, drinks, and much more. Concession stand hours are also 10:00am – 7:00pm daily.
Bathrooms
There are standard bathrooms inside The Boathouse, as well as restrooms with access doors on the outside of the building.

The boathouse is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with hours from 10:00am – 7:00pm.
