These restaurants with winter-proofed igloo dining are redefining “patio weather,” allowing al fresco dining all winter long. Sharing a meal together in a heated igloo, hut, pod, greenhouse or outdoor patio is a cozy way to enjoy a meal out with an extra-special twist.
Make your reservation in advance, and be sure to bring a cozy blanket for a little added warmth. Please note that some of these experiences require non-refundable reservations or have minimum spend requirements. How about Cook County?
The only igloos we could find in Cook County are in Countryside, which is on the list. Let us know if you have heard of others!
Thank you for this, it is amazing!! 2 things to add though. 1. I drove my family out to features (naperville) last night, and was very disappointed to see that it is not individual dining. There are 3 train cars, that are separate, but each one has 6-8ish tables inside. Not covid-safe in my opinion, and certainly not in the category of others on this list.
2. Stray Hen Cafe in Elmhurst has added igloos, it is a great breakfast restaurant, with cocktails, and right on the train tracks so kids can be entertained by the trains.
