Statewide Kite Fly and Touch-A-Truck
June 15, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeThe Statewide Kite Fly raises awareness of the Illinois Association of Park Districtβs Youth License Plate Flying 4 Kids program. Sales of Flying 4 Kids License plates go to park districts and recreation agencies to provide innovative, after-school programming for Illinois youth. Bring your own kites to this event or kites will be available for free while supplies last.
Touch-A-Truck features garbage trucks, tractors, police cars, fire trucks and a variety of other vehicles on display for kids to climb, sit and play on. New this year to celebrate our 60th Anniversary is a car show featuring classic retro cars. Remember to cast your vote for the Best Car and Best Truck! Raffles, crafts, a DJ and more are all part of the fun of this annual event held in conjunction with Statewide Kite Fly. Parental supervision is required.
