We love the Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle! It even made it into the 10 Best Playgrounds that you all voted on this spring. It’s a horse stable-themed 2-to-5-year-old playground, sound and fragrance gardens, and central gathering area tucked in the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Danada South Area located just northeast of Naperville and Navistar roads.
Play Days at the Sensory Garden Playground are back this summer and take place once a month from May through August. DuPage Medical Group will be sponsoring all four Play Days with a teddy bear check-up. Children are encouraged to bring their plush pals to mirror doctor visits that they would attend to get a better understanding of healthy habits.
Kidlist had a welcome table at one of their Play Days in 2016 and I had so much fun meeting everyone that we thought we would do it again! We will be there on July 20, 2019 handing out free snacks and swag… Can’t wait to see you there!
Speaking of free snacks, I have to tell you about Surf Sweets! I’m excited to announce that we will be passing out these delicious treats at the Play Day. They are organically sweetened that are free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, and the top ten allergens, including dairy/casein, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, sesame and sulfites. My kids love them and I think yours will too!

About the Playground
The Sensory Garden Playground offers something for all the senses – seeing, hearing, touching and smelling. Like the scent of the herbs in the fragrance garden, the sound of children playing on the large drums and chimes in the sound garden, the feeling of roaring through the air on high-back swings, and the sight of families gathering together and encouraging cooperative, side-by-side play in the central gathering space.
Currently the space houses a 2- to 5-year-old playground, fragrance garden, sound garden, interactive art sculptures and a central gathering space. The first stage of an accessible tree house will begin construction this summer.
