Chicagoland is home to local rinks that offer kids’ hockey classes and teams, as well as traveling hockey teams. Some spots offer classes for kids as young as 3 years old!
As Wayne Gretzky once said, “A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.” Whether kids are learning to anticipate the puck’s movement or just starting to wobble across the ice, there are chances to learn all around our towns!

Hockey Teams and Classes for Kids at Local Rinks

Local Traveling Hockey Teams
There are traveling teams in the area as well for more experienced players. These teams require a tryout, cost more, and and have a higher time commitment. Traveling teams are a next step for kids who want to put in extra time and effort to play more and keep honing their skills.
