There’s a new playground in Elmhurst with a zipline, green covered picnic table structure, and fountains! Centennial Park was completed this month and it’s such a great space. Keep reading for all the features!
The majority of the Centennial Park playground equipment is designed for children 5-12 years old, but there are other parts of the park for younger ones as well.
This unique climbing structure intrigued kids of all ages. You can also see the single zipline in the background. It has a disc seat, so hold on and enjoy!
There’s an adorable playhouse for little ones.
The fountains turn on periodically from 10am-6pm daily. Please note that they only turn on for brief periods of time, about 2-3 times an hour. We wouldn’t consider this a splash pad, just a way to catch a short spray while relaxing under the sheltered picnic area. We love how they included the green roof!
On the edge of the park you’ll find adult fitness equipment with a turf surface to make it easy on your joints.
