We prepared routes for you so you can take lights tours of different areas across the Chicago suburbs! We encourage you to keep this guide open on your phone and tap on the next address heading – your map app will open to take you to the next decorated house. They are all in order to maximize your enjoyment and minimize driving time.
The musical note symbol 🎶 denotes houses that have a musical component, including lights set to music playing outside or on the radio so you can tune in when you get there.

From 2024: In the fall of 1952 several homes on Lehnertz Avenue wanted to do something to "put Christ back into Christmas." It was decided to build life sized nativity as a neighborhood project, to bring the focus of the holiday season back to the birth of Christ. In 1957 residents of Lehnertz Avenue, east of Ohio Street wanted to get involved in the display so the display was expanded by bringing the Three Kings and life size camels to the crib from the east. In 1958 a letter was sent to the association from American Airlines stating that during the Christmas display, on clear nights the pilots would fly so the passengers could view the display from the air. In 1960 a count was taken of the number of cars visiting Lehnertz Avenue display, 37,000 cars traveled the street during the two and a half weeks. This included 4,000 on Christmas Day when cars were bumper to bumper. When a subdivision was being developed in 1978 further east of Lehnertz Avenue called Lehnertz Circle, it was decided to use the Peanuts characters with Snoopy and his gang celebrating Christmas as an extension of the original display. This would be Christmas in the child's eyes. The display is lighted annually approximately two weeks prior to Christmas and one week after. The lights remain on all night Christmas Eve.

Then walk by our display in the side yard to view our wire frame display which includes a selfie cutout, and a gingerbread bakery family photo opportunity.
