Turner Park, in Roselle has been transformed into a playground and park with all the amenities kids are looking for!
Sprawling over 15 acres of land, Turner Park hosts soccer fields, a basketball court, a pavilion, a stocked fishing pond, and a brand new playground with multiple structures for all ages. My daughter’s favorite new feature is the zip line!
Roselle is kicking off the new playground installation with a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 3:30pm – 6:00pm. The festivities will start with the ribbon cutting at 3:30pm and follow with live music from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. In addition to the new playground, the Roselle Park District will have a bounce house, crafts, food, and beer available.
Turner Park offers two playgrounds, a zip line, climbing prisms, swings, and a shaded pavilion with tables. Other amenities include soccer fields, a basketball court, paved walking path, and a fishing pond.
There is a younger tot playground adjacent to the larger play set. This toddler play structure is geared for ages 2-5. The main playground offers multiple climbing structures, two slides, and lookout towers.The larger main playground structure is geared for ages 5+.
Turner Park’s new zip line is my kid’s favorite new installment. The zip line had a ramp to walk up to get onto the zip line. At the end of the line, children just need to jump off.
There are multiple swing options from baby swings to big kids swings.
There is also a new giant geometric climbing structure.The climbing cubes were high! Definitely for ages 5+.
An adult fitness court is adjacent to the playgrounds with multiple chess/checker tables for public use.
The fishing pond is restocked every spring. This fishing pond is one of my kid’s favorites because they can always catch fish when we are there. Turner Park also offers a paved path around the pond for long walks. Great for strollers!
