Located in southwest Naperville, the newest gymnastics space for children is opening their doors, thanks to owners Tony and Kendele Hickombottom. After having participated in classes while living in the Atlanta area, they are eager to start their own franchise in the Chicagoland area.

Features of The Little Gym of Naperville
The Little Gym in Naperville is home to music and movement-based classes for ages 4 months to 12 years old. The gym itself boasts balance beams, foam mats, bars, ramps, and various other gymnastics equipment. Classes are run by instructors who cater curriculum to helping children develop and strengthen their gross motor skills at each age level. As children explore the space, they’ll build confidence and master new skills. All while being in a safe, and engaging atmosphere.
Classes begin as early as 4 months, with parent-tot classes up to 3 years old. Pre-k gymnastics classes run for ages 3-6 years old, with grade school gymnastics for ages 6-12 years old. While children participate in independent classes, their parents are welcome to wait in the designated lobby. The windows are clear, which allows both parents and children to see each other freely and the ability to monitor a child’s progress and behavior.
Birthday Parties and Events
Along with their weekly classes, The Little Gym will be offering camps, 90-minute birthday parties, and parents night out programming. While these are open to the public, members will receive discounts on any additional programming booked on top of their membership. There is a party room off the main gym area that is used during this time.
Food
Food is not allowed in the gym area, but small snacks can be eaten in the waiting room. There are a few restaurants in the surrounding area, including popular chains such as McDonald’s and Giordanos. Duck Donuts, which lets visitors customize their donut toppings, is located right next door. It was tough to say no to my kids after working up an appetite at The Little Gym.
Bathrooms
There are two single-use bathrooms located directly off the gym play area. Each bathroom is equipped with a changing table.
Prices
To participate in the fun at The Little Gym, you will need to purchase a membership. Current monthly pricing is $119 per month if you’d like to do 1 class per week, and $215 per month if you’d like to do 2 classes per week. Signing up for a 12-month membership will cost $109 per month. Please note, there is a 10% discount for siblings, as well as 10% discount for additional programming like camps or parents night out.

Hours
Currently, classes are offered Monday through Thursday, in both the morning and evening, as well as Saturdays until early afternoon. Many of our readers are looking for evening classes for younger children, so we loved to see this offered on their calendar!
Recommended Ages
Class offerings range from 4 months to 12 years old. The size of the gym is smaller than you’d find at a traditional gymnastics gym, which makes it ideal for younger children. If you’re finding yourself chasing your toddler around, the space is great for keeping them contained. The grade school gymnastics classes for 6-12 year olds, help strengthen foundational gymnastics skills.
Grand Opening Event
The Little Gym is hosting their Grand Opening event on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Guests will get to preview the space, participate in class and demo stations using the small and large equipment in the gym, and even get a free photo with the Easter Bunny!
The event is open to everyone, but pre-registration is highly encouraged. They are offering a special rate for founding members, which is good before classes start on Monday, April 21, 2025.
