Safety towns and safety villages give children an opportunity to practice the rules of the road, at-home safety, and even safety around strangers. Many have cute kid-sized buildings and structures for them to navigate as a passenger or pedestrian. Most of these villages are recommended for ages 4-10. Some have open exploration time, but most have camps or classes with specific enrollment times. Let your little one explore one of these safety towns near you!

Classes for ages 5-7 or 8-10 years old, with online registration starting in the spring. You do not have to be a resident to sign up and the building is handicapped accessible. Classes for the older children include Red Cross First Aid and Rescue Breathing. Teens can volunteer in these classes, which run throughout the summer months.
