Touch-a-Truck
Algonquin Recreation is excited to bring back the Touch-a-Truck Event at the Algonquin Public Works Facility, featuring trucks for families to explore. This event offers a hands-on experience where attendees can climb, explore, and get an up-close look at a variety of vehicles, including construction trucks, emergency response vehicles, school buses, and more. Members of the community, including the Police and Fire Departments, will be on-site to showcase their vehicles and answer questions.
A Sensory-Friendly Hour will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., during which there will be no honking, flashing lights, or sirens to create a more comfortable experience for all attendees.
The event will feature a wide variety of vehicles, including fire trucks, garbage trucks, and tow trucks. In addition to exploring the trucks, attendees can enjoy food and treats available for purchase from Kona Ice and Da Pizza Company.
This is a free family event made possible by the support of Expert Roofing Joe Mac, Raising Cane’s, MSUFCU, Rush Physical Therapy, and Hurley & Volk Orthodontics.
