Pollinator Party

Get a head start on celebrating Pollinator Week 2024 at this family-friendly event! Learn about the insects and animals that perform the important task of pollinating plants, especially those that provide us with much of the food we eat.

See live animals and learn about their roles in pollination from our friends at Incredible Bats(Opens in a new window). Find out how to support pollinators at home with insect hotels, gardens and plants native to our region. The Nature Foundation of Will County(Opens in a new window) will be on site selling native plants. Try your hand at exciting pollinator-themed activities, including a pollinator obstacle course, crafts, face painting and an insect safari. Buzz by this outdoor summer party for the birds, bees, bats and more! There will be something fun for everyone.

Tacos Maui(Opens in a new window) will be serving food from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Kona Ice(Opens in a new window) will be on hand serving shaved ice for the duration of the event.
