Oaktober: Outside Drop-In

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

For everyone. Stop by for this celebration of the mighty oak tree and the animals and insects that benefit from it. Take an IPPL grounds tree ID tour, learn about oak ecosystems, connect with gardening experts and naturalists from the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum, bring home a native tree to plant while supplies last (courtesy of Bartlett Tree Experts), enjoy family-friendly activities, and more. This event is co-sponsored by the Darien Garden Club. In the case of weather issues, this event is held indoors.
