Celebrating Halloween Lemont-Style
September 24 to October 18: “Trail of Scarecrows” Competition!
Theme: Fairytale Characters | VOTE For Your Favorite Scarecrow
September 10: Stake pick-ups at Lemont Township Community Center.
September 24: Drop off participating scarecrows to the Township Center between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to the Lemont Community Center at 16300 Alba Street. Everyone is invited to participate in voting through October 18. Winners will be contacted by October 20. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. September 30 & October 1: “Spirits of the Limestone”
Lemont Historical Society (The Old Stone Church), 6:30 p.m.
Two special presentations, Friday and Saturday: a presentation and discussion on Lemont’s paranormal past. All guests will receive their own ghost detecting devices to bring home.
October 1: Halloween Blood Drive

Fire Prevention Week runs from October 9 – October 15 and this year’s theme is “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety. Get into the Lemontster Days spirit this October and decorate a small pumpkin, too! October 8: Witches Walk
Historic Downtown Lemont, 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Ladies, get dressed up and join us for drinks, cackles & treats on our annual “spirits” walk in downtown Lemont. October 15: Trick or Treat Trail | Ages 2 – 12 Only
Lemont Park District Centennial Park, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Multiple Time Slots Available. Must Register in Advance! Registration #860902-A1 through A8 (dependent on time slot). Join the fun at the Trick or Treat Trail! Participants will enjoy walking the trail around the Centennial Park path, receiving treats on the trail that can ensure safe fun! Be sure to wear your Halloween costume and bring your own trick-or-treating bags. All children must pre-register for a time slot. ONE adult permitted per child. 50 children per time slot. October 21: Hocus Pocus Movie Night

306 Lemont Street. Come see the Old Stone Church magically transform into Salem and watch the Halloween cult classic Hocus Pocus. The 1993 Disney hit is fun for all ages!
