Kids Care Fun Fair: Spread Kindness!

January 19, 2026, 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm
Free

Drop in for hands-on, kid-friendly activities that help make the world a better place. Perfect whether you’re here for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service or just looking for some winter fun!

Best for ages 11 and younger with their families.

Stop at one station or explore them all.

Station 1. Spread good cheer!
Decorate a miniature “instant comfort box” with a special message inside to give to a friend or family member who needs a little TLC (tender loving care).

Station 2. It feels good to give!
Here in Mount Prospect, we want everyone to have enough food on their shelves! At this station, decorate cards for people who visit the Village of Mount Prospect Food Pantry. If you wish, you may bring, or select from our provided assortment, a non-perishable item to donate to the Food Pantry.

Station 3. Imagine and dream!
What are your hopes and dreams for making the world a better place? Use your ideas to decorate, then stuff, a DIY felt cloud or heart plushie to take home for your very own.

No registration required. This is an open house format program. Drop in anytime and stay as long as you like. Last entry is 15 minutes before the program end time. Please note there may be small pieces and adult guidance is encouraged. Supplies are available while they last.
