Independence Day Parade
This beloved tradition includes community floats, live music and strolling entertainment. The parade is a great way to enjoy the holiday with neighbors and is fun for the whole family. Entertain the kids with this downloadable I Spy game. We are eager to celebrate with you all!
The 2025 theme is “Hometown Happiness.” This Fourth of July, we invite you to express your hometown pride and showcase the community spirit that makes Des Plaines so unique. The parade will step off at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4, at the intersection of Center Street and Wicke Avenue.
The parade will proceed north on Center to Prairie Ave., will head east on Prairie and then disband at Prairie and Pearson St. Please note that the roads in the immediate area may be closed to accommodate parade traffic. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you there!
