Costumes, Candy, and Community Fun

Goody bags for everyone dressed up in costume while supplies last.

Halloween Costume Contest 6:30 P.M. Wagon Ride 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. Bonfire 7:15 P.M.

• Avoid face covering masks that make it hard for children to see. Try face paint instead.
• Carry a Flashlight or Glow Stick while “Trick or Treating.”
• Cross QNLY at well-lit crosswalks & corners! – Children 7 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Remind all children to NEVER enter a stranger’s home and to stay outside the door at all times! Go out in groups.
• Tell children NOI to eat ANY TREATS until an adult can check them for tampering.
• BE ACCEPTING.…. the child who is grabbing more than one piece of candy may have poor fine motor skills. The child who takes forever to pick out one piece of candy may have motor planning issues. The child who does not say “trick-or-treat” or “thank you” may be non-verbal. The child who looks disappointed when they see your candy bowl might have an allergy or be diabetic. The child who isn’t wearing a costume at all might have sensory issues (SPD) or autism. Have someone carry a cell phone to call 911 in casen of any emergency when going Trick or Treating!

Come to the Hillside Commons at 6:30 P.M. for Halloween Fun! Only treats NOT tricks will be acceptable this night, all Village ordinances will be strictly ENFORCED!

BE NICE… BE PATIENT!
