Beyond the Nutcracker Tea

Beyond the Nutcracker Tea offers a shorter, relaxed, sensory-friendly way to experience the joy of Ballet 5:8’s holiday production. Created especially for children with disabilities, sensory needs, and families who enjoy ballet best in a less formal setting, the event includes ballet excerpts, beloved characters, storytelling, holiday treats, and photo opportunities with the cast.

Guests are welcome to move, take breaks, and enjoy the performance in whatever way works best for them. Sensory-friendly accommodations include flexible seating, modified lighting, moderated sound levels, in-and-out access, fidget toys, and a calming quiet room.

The event takes place Saturday, December 5, 2026 at Ballet 5:8 Studios in Orland Park. Tickets are $35 per person and include dessert, the performance, and cast photos. Discounts are available for schools, educational programs, and community groups serving students with access needs.
