Junior Naturalists
August 1, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeThere is a big, beautiful world of bugs, and we are going to learn all about it! Junior naturalists will learn the difference between insects, bugs, arachnids and arthropods and their roles as local pollinators, decomposers, flyers and crawlers.
Participants will make a craft, play a game, observe pinned specimens and use sweep nets and bug boxes to observe who is buzzing around the Isle. All insects will be released at the end of the program. All equipment is provided. This program takes place on paved paths or natural surfaces across 0.3 miles of uneven terrain. Due to limited supplies, children must be ages 8 to 12 and registered for the program to attend.
