A Fresh, Family-Friendly Space at Foss Swim School Highland Park
Let’s start with a walkthrough of the newly renovated facility.
As soon as you walk in, the refreshed, modern look stands out. The entire school was remodeled with sleek, durable finishes and updated materials that feel clean, bright, and welcoming.
One of the first things you’ll notice in the pool area is the new flooring throughout the facility. It’s a non-slip, soft, rubbery surface similar to the pour-in-place material used on newer playgrounds, offering extra cushion underfoot. This makes walking with wet kids or carrying little ones feel much safer and more comfortable.
Updated Changing and Shower Areas

There are two banks of showers with reliably warm water (a much-requested improvement!) in the pool area.
The changing areas received a significant upgrade as well. There are now individual changing stalls and private bathrooms with showers, making it easier for families who prefer a little more privacy.
Families will also find:
- Dyson hair dryers
- A dedicated bank of three infant changing tables
- A more efficient layout designed to support smooth transitions between classes, even for larger families
These updates make the before-and-after swim routine noticeably easier, especially with babies or multiple children.
Bright and Inviting Pool Area

The pool area is now brighter and more inviting, with improved lighting and a clean, open feel. Colorful swim toys, teaching tools, and skill stations are clearly marked overhead, which helps kids stay engaged and excited while keeping classes organized and moving smoothly.
As with all Foss Swim School locations, the pool is heated and designed to keep swimmers comfortable while they focus on learning water safety and swim skills.
Viewing and Sibling Areas

Parents and caregivers can watch lessons through the large viewing window, and the seating area now includes a sibling play space to help keep little ones entertained while they wait. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that makes a big difference for families attending lessons together.
