World Book Day

It’s World Book Day—and every page is an adventure waiting to happen! Step into stories, spark your imagination, and celebrate the magic of reading through hands-on, creative experiences throughout the Museum. From storytelling and puppetry to writing and illustrating your own tales, World Book Day at DCM brings books to life in ways kids can see, touch, and create.

What it’s all about: Stories help us explore new worlds, understand others, and express ourselves. Whether listening, creating, or acting out a tale, children build early literacy skills like vocabulary, comprehension, and creativity. What story will you discover—or create—today?
