Villa Park Fire Department Open House

FreeThe Villa Park Fire Department is inviting residents and visitors of all ages to join them on Saturday, October 12 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Fire Station #81, 1440 S. Ardmore Avenue, for its Annual Fire Prevention Week Open House. Parking is available at the Post Office directly across the street. Fire Prevention Week takes place from October 6 through October 12. The Villa Park Fire Department is joining forces with other fire departments, schools, and safety groups across North America to reinforce this year’s theme “Smoke alarms: make them work for you!” Attendees can look forward to hands-on learning experiences, many chances to win prizes, pictures with Sparky the Fire Dog, and free refreshments. The highlight of the Open House will be a live fire demonstration showing the dangers of household fires that will begin at 2:30 p.m.
