FreeTreat your family to a unique time-travel experience, listening to centuries-old live Javanese gamelan music and enjoying the sights of Indonesia.
Best for ages 4 and older with their families.
Friends of the Gamelan will showcase several traditional pieces from the Central Javanese gamelan repertoire. The performance will be in the gadhon style, a chamber ensemble version of a Javanese gamelan, consisting of the soft-style instruments and vocalists. The selection of pieces date back as far as the 17th and 18th centuries.
