Pumpkin Smash: From Ground to Garden
Did you…both recycling and victory gardens were popular ways people supported the war effort in the 1940’s?
Pumpkins are 90% water, which makes them bad for landfills but great for soil ang gardens! Bring your post-Halloween jack-o-lanterns, gourds, and pumpkins to Frontier Park on Saturday, November 1st, from 9am to noon, and help the Park District’s EnviroGroup smash and pitch them into compostable material.
